Marriage in the Philippinen

Once you got married in the Philippines is legally valid in Germany too. But must be distinguished from the provative value of the act by marriage. The Legalization for Philippines documents has 2001 listed. If there is a residence in Germany the local authority must be submitted the Marriage Contract (example application for of a foreign marriage). A German National must submit the following documents for granting of a Marriage License.

  • Passport
  • Birth certficate translated in English for legalized through the Philippine Diplomatic mission or Embassy /Consulate.
  • For Divorce: Divorce decree legalized through Philippines Embassy. The documents translated in English from the country of origin. 
  • When Widowed: Death certificateof the spouse who passed away translated in English and legalized through Philippine Embassy. 
  • The certificate of no Impediment to marriage or Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage.

The Philippine Authorities is requires the Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage certificate issued by the Embassy so named Consular Certificate of Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage. To receive the Consular certifiction referred to, the following subject for marriage.

 

Submission and pickup at the Embassy in Manila. 

For the exhibition, the orginal German Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage must presented and the fee is 25 Euro is payable in every Land currency or with credit in Euro. The processing to working days by personal pickup or through delivery. Visiting hours are Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. An appointment is not necessary. Provided the Consular Certification through personal pickup is not possible.  It is possible to send through Courier Service "2Go" with Correct Address in the Philippines. Marriage in Germany

If you want to marry a woman from Philippines in Germany must take into accountso when preparing the marriage three important points and matched.

  • Applying for Visa for Marriage (German Embassy Manila)
  • Applying for an appointment for Marriage  (Registry Office of residence)
  • Registration for German Courses (In the Philippines) 

1. Applying Visa for Marriage

The application of the Bride shall be submitted to the Embassy Manila consists of the following documents.

  • Birth certificate of the applicant. (issued by PSA) 
  • Three current passport pictures (Format, see sample photograph). Two passport photos must be fastening to the application forms and one on passport. On the side of the photo for the passport must written the complete Name and date birth of the applicant.
  • Two application forms duly filled in completely.
  • Two Security Statement duly filled in completely.
  • Valid passport with which you wish to travel to Germany.
  • Visa fee 60,00 Euro payable in Philippine Pesos at the current exchange rate (for Spouse from EU-Citizen and the parents of German Minors the Visa fee is waived.
  • Simple copy of the Federal Identity  (front and back page) or passport and registration card of the Fiancee in Germany.
  • Written Confirmation of the German Registry Office that the application for marriage has been successful with intended date of marriage.
  • Formal Obligation of Fiancee.
  • Proof of basic knowledge in German Language (Certificate A1)
  • Health Insurance valid until the marriage taken place with minimum coverage of 30.000,-- Euro.
  • Two xerox copy of all orginal documents (Passport only the date page). 

If the applicant is single  (and was never married before)

  • Certificate of no Marriage/CENOMAR. This documents not older than 6 months.

If the applicant is a widow:

  • previous marriage certificate.
  • death certificate of the spouse.
  • PSA Certificate (CEMAR/Advisory of Marriage) regarding the appearance of your name in the (National Indices of Marriage) this must not be older than 6 months from the date of issuance.

If the previous marriage is Divorced is Annul

  • Marriage certificate with marginal note about the dissolution.
  • Court Order (Court decision) and verdict regarding the legal validity (certificate of finality) via dissolution of the previous marriage, authenticated by the Philippine authorities. Should previous marriage outside the Philippines have been triggered, (example divorce) is a proof of successful validity of Foreign Divorce in the Philippines required (judgement togheter with Court of law decision).
  • PSA Certificate (CEMAR/Advisory on Marriage)regarding the appearance of the applicant`s name in the (National Indices of Marriages). This documents not older than 6 months.

All documents must be submitted in Orginal with two copies, the Embassy reserves itself the right to required further documents if necessary.

 

2. Applying an appointment for marriage. 

The application is lodged at the Registry Office at the respective place of residence of the applicant with the following documents.

 

Groom´s Documents:

  • Photocopy of a valid Identity Card.
  • Copy of a Birth Certificate of the Groom (not older than 6 months)
  • Proof of Income

 

Bride´s documents:

  •  Birth certificate of the Fiancee (Certifcate from PSA) must be translated in German. (with registered Translator recommended by the court)
  • Power of Attorney of the Fiancee for Registration of Marriage (Power of Attorney and copy of the passport of the fiancee must be legalized by the German Embassy Manila or German Consulate in Cebu.
  •  Certificate of No Marriage (Cemar fron PSA)

 

If the applicant is Widow:

  • Death certificate of the spouse (not older than 6 months )
  • Marriage Certificate (not older than 6 months)
